It's the oldest temple of Shingonshu in the temple which exists in a town at an established temple in the Eno first year (1239). Shijo emperor gets a name at time, and the history you could name is a deep historic old temple. A big zelkova tree in front of Kannondo in the precinct is called an age of the tree for more than 1000 years and is also designated as a natural monument in a prefecture.
