Shiraaya Waterfall

This gentle waterfall cascades in three tiers through the surrounding natural forest, its lowest tier flowing beautifully over the surface of a thin fault line. It has no pool at the base, flowing directly into the stream below. Named for its appearance as it flows beautifully down the mountain gorge, resembling a silk brocade, "Shiraaya". A buddha statue is enshrined in a hollow on the opposite cliff face, lending the area a mystical atmosphere.
From spring to summer, it reveals its pristine beauty surrounded by fresh greenery. In autumn, it is enveloped in vibrant autumn leaves, and in winter, an icefall may appear. It is well worth a visit.
